A note about our service...
We request that you come to the front to order and pay for
your meal. Then, we will give you a "loteria" card with an
image on it. You look at the image and memorize the Spanish
word associated with it. When your food is ready, we bring
it out, while calling out the image--that's how we find you!

Coming Soon: Handmade Market Drinks
The phone lines between here and El Salvador have been
burning up as Jerson has been calling his mother and
grandmother for the secret recipes for their wonderful
market drinks. We are busy sourcing the ingredients for
two wonderful drinks which we will prepare from scratch
and offer for sale at both locations starting soon!
Horchata--a creamy, vegan rice drink with wonderful
spicy notes
Agua de Flores--many of you will remember Tamara making
this drink by the glass to order in the "old days".
It's coming back!
This will be a wonderful addition to Hernande'z, as the
drinks need to be as high quality, delicious and good
for you as the food. These drinks will be freshly made
and will enable you to avoid the ubiquitous high
fructose corn syrup from canned and bottled conventional
drinks.
We are thanking you for your patience with us as we
develop these new offerings, because as many of you
know, right now the offerings are humble: bottled water
and Phillip's beer!
